The director

Nado Potom is the director’s activist name. Born in Siberia, he fled the atrocities of his country. In Moscow, he joined protest movements before being arrested and sent back to his hometown for trial. In 2014, when the Maidan revolution broke out, Nado witnessed new atrocities. His pro-Ukrainian position puts him in danger, he has to flee again. He applied for political asylum in Belgium where he studied illustration at ESA St-Luc de Liège. For his graduation work, he produced an illustrated book telling his story. The MiCROFiLM call for projects gave him the opportunity to set it in motion.
