The Bear River
How will a woman and a bear upset the absurd universe of which they are victims?

La rivière des ourses / The Bear River

This animation short is currently in production.

2021 winner of our call for candidates for a residency in writing and development of animated short films, Anaïs Mauzat has benefited from the support of our studio to write a production file for her new film, La rivière des ourses / The Bear River. Seduced by the subject and the graphic universe, the Film Selection Commission granted production aid to this ambitious project. Through this film, the author takes a poetic but worried look at the consumer society and its consequences on the nature that surrounds us.

L’auteure

Anaïs Mauzat works in illustration, animation, sculpture and puppet theatre. At the Academy of Visual Arts in Molenbeek-Saint-Jean, she trained in frame-by-frame animation.
